EAI receives a limited amount of funding under a program called the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). The program aims to provide individual respite and social support for people who are over 65 with a disability and who remain living in their own home in the community.
This program is funded by Department of Health and Aged Care (DOHA). Supports are valid for one financial year and must be reapplied at the end of the financial year.
This funding allows individuals to receive supports in their own home or out in the community. EAI can support and assist individuals to participate in everyday activities including going shopping, going out for lunch dates or coffee and even a weekend break.
Access to this program is for individuals registered with the My Aged Care program.
